Andrew Johnson (1808-1875) was the 17th President of the United States. He was the first President to be impeached, but he stayed in office by just one vote. He was a tailor and never attended school. He was the only Southern senator to remain with the Union. He was the first President to take the office upon an assasin's bullet.
