Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969) was the 34th President of the United States. Born David Dwight Eisenhower, he switched his first and middle names when he enrolled at West Point. He had an interest for playing golf. He was the first President to hire a White House Chief of Staff. He is the present namesake for Camp David, the Presidential retreat.
