Herbert Hoover (1874-1964) was the 31st President of the United States. He was one of two Presidents who belonged to the Quaker religion. He was the first President born west of the Mississippi River. He also served as Secretary of Commerce under Warren Gamaliel Harding, the 29th President and Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President. While he was President, he invented his own sport to get him some exercise. He was blamed for everything during the Great Depression.
