William McKinley

William McKinley (1843-1901) was the 25th President of the United States. He fought as a private in the Civil War where his commanding officer was Rutherford Birchard Hayes, the 19th President. He was President during the Spanish-American War. He was shot by Leon Czolgosz on September 6, 1901 at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo and he died September 14.
